Dr Matt Silsby is the Unit Coordinator for a postgraduate unit of study in the Master of Medicine (Clinical Neurophysiology) degree at the University of Sydney titled Applied Clinical Neurophysiology. This unit provides an overview of the neuromuscular, central nervous system, and neurosurgical disorders commonly encountered in clinical neurophysiology laboratories.

He has been involved in teaching throughout his career and holds a current position as a Clinical Lecturer at Sydney Medical School. 

He is also one of the founding Directors of the Neuromuscular Society of Australia and New Zealand (NMSANZ.org), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular conditions through clinician education and collaboration.
