Dr Matt Silsby coordinates a postgraduate unit of study in the Master of Medicine (Clinical Neurophysiology) degree at the University of Sydney titled Applied Clinical Neurophysiology. This unit provides an overview of the neuromuscular, central nervous system, and neurosurgical disorders commonly encountered in clinical neurophysiology laboratories.

He has been involved in teaching throughout his career, with positions as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at Sydney Medical School and as an assistant coordinator of the Clinical Examination for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
